mot de tyska invasionsarméerna som kapitulerade i maj 1940.
Togs som krigsfånge och internerades på slottet Laeken. 1944
förd till Salzburg där han befriades av amerikanerna
1945. Fick skarp kritik för sitt handlande vid kapitulationen
1940 och flyttade därför till Schweiz 1945.
Became king of Belgium 1934. Supreme
commander for the Belgian army for the time of the German
invasion and sign the capitulation in May 1940. Was taken
prisoner of war and was looked up at the castle of Laeken. In
1944 he was taken to Salzburg were he was liberated by the
Americans in 1945. He was strongly criticised for his acting by
the time of the capitulation, therefore he moved to Switzerland
